He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Cranford, Sr. and Shirley Parrish Cranford; and his siblings, Herbert Jr., Wayne, Linda, Gayle, Tommy, Sandra and Glenn.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Birthright Cranford; his children, Amy Lowery and Tim Cranford; his stepson Doug Graves; and his grandchildren, Alex, Coleton Lowery, Brayden Cranford, Niki, Olivia and Sara Graves.
