We are sad to announce that on September 6, 2023, at the age of 87, Vernon D. Thompson of Hendersonville, Tennessee, born in Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Wilma Bowman Thompson; his stepmother Violet Marie Thompson; his brothers, Bobby Thompson and David Thompson; and his father Robert Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Letha Marie; his son Scott Vernon Thompson (Janie Lou) of Gallatin, TN; his grandchildren, Danny Vernon Thompson and Amy Nichole Filizetti; his son Mark Allen Thompson (Laurie) of Ashburn, VA; and his grandsons, Nicholas Allen Thompson and Sean Miles Thompson.
