It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Juanita Harshbarger of Hendersonville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Eaton and Myrtle Eaton; her husband Larry; and her siblings, Betty Eaton, Jim Eaton, Paul Eaton and Bill Eaton.

She is survived by: her sons, Rod Cook (Gale), Paul Cook (Jane), Mark Harshbarger (Kathy), Mike Harshbarger (Jeanie) and Mitch Abbott (Melissa). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral home asks that anyone attending the visitation and/or service to please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: Hendersonville Medical Center Volunteer Fund at 355 New Shackle Island Rd., Hendersonville, TN 37075 or VFW Post 9851 at 73 New Shackle Island Rd., Hendersonville, TN 37075.

“Working from home, I just realized I had messages on my work phone. My daughter Carmen Harshbarger left a message, informing me Ruby had passed away. I am so saddened; Ruby and Larry were always so good to me, and I have fond memories of the time we spent together. Although, she was my Mother-in-law, as well as being my daughter's Gamma Uby, she was like my Gramma - I never had. Rest in Peace Gamma Uby. May you be in the arms of Our Savior! May we meet again. Deep Love and affection, Jacqueline”
