She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Rose Newman and Frank Still; her husband Howard Douglas Steele; her brothers, Robert Earl Newman and Billy Still; and her brother-in-law David Owen.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy Douglas Steele (Kendra) of Gallatin and Jamie Howard Steele (Caryn) of Hendersonville, TN.; her grandchildren, Nicole Ritchie of Gallatin, TN, Spencer Steele (Julie) of Gallatin, TN, Lance Steele (Nicole) of Gallatin, TN, Cody Steele (Tara) of Gallatin, TN and Cayce Marie Chance (Bryan) of Nashville, TN.; her great grandchildren, Reese, Jase Ritchie, Jacob, Rose Marie Steele, Mason, Maddie Steele, Crew, Cross and Cannon Steele; and her sisters, Betty Owen of Florida and Sue Dorsey (Larry) of Jesup, GA. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a lifetime of special friends.
