He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Simpkins and Clara Simpkins; his wife Linda Sue Simpkins; and his sisters, Norma Killeen and Sharon Kearley.
He is survived by: his children, Amber Pond, Dana Bates, Charles Simpkins and Keith Simpkins (Valerie); and his siblings, Barbara Quinn, Howard Simpkins (Ruby), David Simpkins (Pam) and Diane McKinney. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
He was the Past President of the United Givers Foundation through the Ford Motor Company where he was also a huge advocate for the Ford Motor Company Safety Program where he often taught classes and appeared in films for the company.
