He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry Childers (RH) and Gwendolyn Bernace Hoops Childers; and his sister Ryan Carmella Childers. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lisa Childers; his children, Samuel Zachary Childers, Rachel Marie Childers and Brandie Elizabeth Childers; his brother Russell (Cherri); and his grandchildren, Sydney Elizabeth Owens and Riker Sterling James Childers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center or a charity close to your heart.
