It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penelope Jones McWhirt (Hendersonville, Tennessee), born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jones and Frances Jones; and her husband Charles. She is survived by: her brother Bill; her children, Jennifer, Teresa (Ken) and Scot (Maria); her grandson-in-law Clay; her brothers, Billy (Kit) and Tim (Debbi); her grandchildren, Sarah (Clay), Amanda, Sean and Abby; and her great grandchildren, Brayden and Frances. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and beloved friends.
Penny loved her dog, and she cared deeply for the education of young people so in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nashville Freedom Schools (https: //nashvillefreedomschools.org/donate/) and the Malagasy Coton de Tulear Preservation Club (MCPC, PO Box 10933/Prescott, AZ 86304).
