He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Boyd (Robert Fox) and Russell Boyd; his parents-in-law, Hartley and Lorene Hurst; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Hurst, Eddie Sutton and Ellen Jacobs.

He is survived by: his father-in-law Robert Fox; his family Pat; his friends, Hartley Hurst and Pat; his wife Kathi; his sister Robbie Sutton; his children, Amy Holtermann (Steve), Kevin Fox (Brencie) and Sara Henderson (Andrew); his grandchildren, Mia Holtermann, Ella Holtermann, Brody Armstrong, Clara Fox, Rachel Fox and Harper Fox; his siblings-in-law, Judie Shain and Harry Hurst (Nina); his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Ted, Kristine and Ryan; and also Pat. He is also survived by his grandchildren and his grandchildren loved their Papa.
