He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hines and Ruth Hines; his brothers, Charlie Hines and Danny Hines; and his brother-in-law Scott Parry.

He is survived by: his wife Megan Hines; his children, Crystal Blanton (Troy) and Toby Hines (Michelle); his grandchildren, Jordan Blanton, Jacob Blanton, Natalie Blanton and Rachael Balke; his sister Nancy Westbrook (Joey); and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Hines, Joyce Elaine Dugan, Leigh Ann Barrett, Kay Duncan (Scotty), Billy Cox (Jennifer), Gary Staggs (Denise), Stephen Staggs (Kim) and Alan Cox. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
