He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Smith Carey; and his grandparents, Louis Francis Carey, Lois Carmen Carey, Ruth Smith and Norwood Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mimi Carey; his children, Michelle Williams (Denver), Kristian Hageman (Dean) and Brycen Carey (Julianna); his grandchildren, Bailey, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Alexander, Kindell and Elijah; his great grandchild Zoe Paige; his father James "Jim" Carey (Nola); and his siblings, Cyndi Knight (Dan) and Jeni Carey Parker (John).
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075).
