He was predeceased by: his parents, Erma Gladys Martin and John Austin Martin, Sr.; his grandson John Robert Bradford Moore; his siblings, Erma Jean Sweeney, John Austin Martin, Jr. and Brenda Martin; his brothers-in-law, Charles Sweeney, Porter Jones and Lewis Eatherly; and his friend Greg Lampley.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Martin; his children, Leslea Sloane Moore (Michael) and William Chance Martin (Maria); his grandchildren, Mabry Reid, Asher Martin, Charley Moore and Lena Moore; and his sisters, Dolores "Tommy" Eatherly, Helen "Gracie Mae" Martin and Dorothy "Dot" Sue Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
