She was predeceased by: her mother Dottie Hitt; her stepfather Buford Hitt; her former husband Richard Byrd; her son Rick Byrd; and her grandson Austin Byrd.
She is survived by: her husband John Collins; her sons, Larry Byrd, Chris Byrd (Angie) and Tim Byrd (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Brittany Byrd Bolen (Jason), Luke Byrd, Lacey Byrd, Andrew Byrd, Ashley Byrd and Chance Barrett (Holly); and her great grandchildren, Laken Marie Barrett, Paisley Austin Barrett and Karter Daniel Bolen.
