She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clyburn Townsend Gilbert and Willie Mae Mathews Gilbert; and her sister Anita. She is survived by: her sons, John, David and Walter (Deborah); her spouse Cecil Rowe; and her siblings, Rachel, Charlotte and Peake. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
