She was predeceased by: her father Harvey Hammock; her grandson Miguel Ontiverous III; and her son-in-law Bryant Harlan. She is survived by: her husband Dave Garza; her children, Juginda Morris, Melissa Harlan and James Whitfield; her grandson Jalen Harlan; and her sisters, Linda Stewart, Betty Lynn McKenzie and Barbara Denson.
