She was predeceased by: her parent Rene Woodward. She is survived by: her husband Fell Merwin; her children, Sarah K. Merwin and John "Jack" D. Merwin; her father Charles "Charlie" Woodward; her siblings, Craig Woodward (Timi), Lynne Hollingsworth (Greg) and Cheryl Woodward (Lynnette Roeth); and her sister-in-law Laura Priess (Michael). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She requested that if anyone felt like they needed to do something, donations can be made to one of the following organizations: C.A.P. (Children Are People), Community Childcare Center, Friends of Hendersonville Library, Friends of Rock Castle or the Samaritan Center.
