He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Seay Burkhart, Sr. and Mildred Floree Steiner Burkhart; and his sisters, Edith Burkhart Hinderliter and Etha Burkhart Atkins. He is survived by: his wife Ethel Bibb Burkhart; his children, Laura Burkhart Coons (Brian) and Nathan Burkhart; his siblings, Paul Burkhart (Janice) and Janice Burkhart Smith; and his grandchildren, Emma Claire Coons, Sarah Cate Coons and Noah Coons. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
