She was predeceased by: her parents, John Atkins and Pauline Atkins; and her sisters, Phyllis, Wanda and Melissa.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Lewis; her children, Rodney Lee Steinhauer (Susie), Jennifer Steinhauer, Leslie Carol Ruggles (Lesley), Kenneth Wayne Lewis (Dena), Richard Shane Steinhauer, Christopher James Lewis (Danielle), Eric Wayne Lewis (Michelle) and Josh Lewis (Mindy Sue); her siblings, Ralph, Mike, Linda Kay, Janie, Sandy, Dan and Ellie; and her close friend Ruth Brown. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
