He was predeceased by: his wife Nell C. Fly; his parents, Leslie Bryant Fly and Beulah Mai York; his siblings, John Fly (Armine), Ruth Moore (John), Marvin Fly and Claude Fly (Patsy); and his son-in-law John Heath.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Heath, Jody Fly (Lori), Deborah Waller (Frank) and Randy Fly (Kristen); his grandchildren, Ashley Kolber (Tony), Leslie Ward (Adam), Jason Heath (Natasha), Preston Waller (Caitlin), Jordan Heath (Rachel), Dylan Fly, Caitlin McDonald (Dylan), Allie Crumpton (Grant) and Anna Fly (Cooper Buchanan); his great grandchildren, Ian Kolber, Jacob Heath, Drew Kolber, Jayden Heath (Emma Grace), Ailidh Ward, Ewan Ward, Deacon Kolber, Beau McDonald, Charlie Kolber, Logan Kolber, Lola McDonald and George Waller; his sister Laura Mai Williams; his sister-in-law Marilyn Fly; and his friends, Donna Gayle Gardner, Johnnie Gardner, Bob Brown and Mike Mayo.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside (104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens (353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075).
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Indian Lake Peninsula Church.
