He is survived by: his mother Laneice Wallace James Loudermilk; his wife Mary Margaret "Micky" Wheeler James; his siblings, Terry James Huffman (Lanny Huffman) and Lewis Burton James (Connie Bernini James); and his nieces and nephews, Mitch, Leslie Huffman, Maitland Huffman Lindsey, Kevin Castleman and Wesley Castleman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Loper Connect Group at First Baptist Hendersonville, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (alexlemonade.org), or a charity of your choice in Joel's honor.
