He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Alto Lee Whitehurst and Malissa Dunn. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Spencer; his daughters, Angela Sati of Hendersonville and Lisa Madler (Gerald) of Columbus, Georgia; his niece Kristine Hansen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and his nephew Curtis Bonner of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
