He was predeceased by: his father James Riley Craighead Sr.; and his sister Polly Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Lee Craighead; his children, Patricia Bain (Kenny), Peggy Merritt (Virgle) and Jimmy Craighead (Dana); his brother Jimmy Craighead (Lu); and his friend Lorena Traughber. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
