He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Griffin and Clara Bentley Griffin; and his siblings, Paul Griffin, Doyle Griffin, Charlie Griffin, Geraldine Griffin Turman and Margie Griffin Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Luther Griffin; his children, James Griffin, Jr. (Malinda) and Tiffany Horton (Rob); his grandchildren, Brittany Kriesky (Matt), Trent Griffin, Trevor Horton, Erica Horton and Victoria Griffin; and his great grandchildren, Lynnlee Kriesky and Griffin Kriesky.
