He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Carter and Opal Carter; and his sister Sandra Carter. He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Angela Carter Kimbrough, Tony (Allyson), Troy (Lisa) and Tracy (Missy); and his brother Bill Carter. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
