He was predeceased by: his parents, Jarrett Kirby and Alberta Kirby; his sons, Howard E. Kirby Jr. and Buddy Kirby; his grandson Justin Kirby; and his siblings, Ray Kirby and Cornelia Shreeve.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Kirby; his sons, Russell Kirby (Donna) and Sammy Kirby (Beth); his grandchildren, Stacy Ennis, Jarrett Kirby (Colleen), Candace Campbell (Will) and KerriBeth Cathey (Jud); his daughter-in-law Kathy Kirby; his granddaughter-in-law Jenna Kirby; and his brother Edward Kirby. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
