She was predeceased by: her mother Maggie Herd; and her siblings, Gerald, Dwight Herd, Jean Herd and Carlene Grossman.

She is survived by: her husband Michael Franklin; her brothers, Lowell and Wayne Herd; her sons, Phillip Ashworth and Paul King; and her granddaughters, Heather Nightengale, Melissa Wharton, Jessica Rodriguez and Loren Walsh. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
