She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Chalmers Cowan and Mary Eleanor Northern Cowan; her siblings, Albert, Donald, Chalmers, Hugh, Tom Cowan and Frances Hutnick; and her daughter-in-law Melissa Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Brown; her children, Doug Brown and Jan Scudder (Mike); her grandchildren, Mike Scudder, Matt Scudder, Jessica Brown Boshers (Peyton), Aaron Brown and Alex Brown; her great grandchildren, Ella and Eli Boshers; her brother Doyle Brown (Linda); her sister-in-law Lyndell Cowan; and her son-in-law Mike Scudder. She is also survived by many extended family and friends.
