He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph William and Florence Elizabeth Boone Saunders; his daughter Teresa Jane Saunders; his granddaughter Ella Faith Saunders; and his sisters, Elizabeth Saunders Smith and Virginia Saunders Mundy.
He is survived by: his children, Debra McCloud (Don), Joe Saunders (Sara) and Thomas "Chuck" Saunders (Beth); his brother Joe William Saunders (Ann); his grandchildren, Derrick McCloud (Jennifer), Iris Saunders and Brielle Jamar; and his great grandchildren, Nola, Maddux and Luce McCloud.
