He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy; his parents, Thomas Marion and Ida Mae Greer; and his sisters, Lucy Dye (Johnny) and Diane McDowell (Bill).
He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Clark (Kirk) and Lisa Walker (Joe); his grandchildren, Rachel Hendley (Malcom), Katie Patterson (Tommy), Jill Stephens (Daniel) and Joey Walker (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Ashton Williams, Sydney Williams, Jackson Williams, Dax Hendley, Allison Patterson, Autumn Patterson, Ava Patterson, Kinsley Stephens, Molly Kate Stephens, Lainey Walker and Whit Walker; and his siblings, Charles (Sue), Robert (Betty), Elaine Greer and Pam Meador (David).
In lieu of flowers the family has request in memory of Coach Greer that donations be made to Feed Sumner Food Bank in c/o Hendersonville First Baptist Church 106 Bluegrass Commons Drive Hendersonville, TN 37075.
