He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Cornwell and Jessie Witcher Moncrief; and his sisters, Polly Ragland and Patricia Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Norma Wallace Cornwell; his children, Lisa Tucker (Bobby), Scott Cornwell, Jada Bates (Greg) and Tia Tate (Glenn); his grandchildren, Alex Cornwell, Courtney Tucker Veal (Carl), Corbin Tucker, Abigail Bates Ammons (Mike), Abraham Bates (Laiken) and Tian Tate; his great grandchildren, Kenzie Veal and Baby Bates; his grandchildren, Queena Lu and Andrew Mutchler; and his sister Linda Ramsey.
