He was predeceased by: his father John McCoy; his stepmother Irene McCoy; his mother Mae Patterson McCoy; and his grandmother Sadie Patterson. He is survived by: his children, Donnetta McCoy of Rock Hill, SC, Keesha Herndon (Fred) of Birmingham, AL, Kimara Johnson (Bradley) of Tokoyo, Donnel Scott of Memphis, TN and Camille Scott of Hendersonville, TN; his sister Johnnie Mae McCoy of Rock Hill, SC; and his aunt Sara Rountree of Washington. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
