Barkley (Hendersonville, Tennessee), born in Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 90, on October 3, 2018. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Barkley and Leola Pearl Jones Barkley; his siblings, Earnest, David, Troy, Will, Don, Ned, Catherine and Julia; and his former wife Marjorie.

He is survived by: his daughter Restaurant; his wife Robbie Hudson Barkley; his children, Gwyn Barkley, Randal Barkley (Dianne), Heath Barkley (Lisa) and Nick Barkley (Charlotte); and his sister Ruth Smyre. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Backpack Ministry at Hendersonville First Baptist Church or Alive Hospice.
