It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Lee Hunter of Hendersonville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnston Hunter and Belle Hunter; his son Barry Lee Hunter; and his siblings, Josiah Hunter, James "Tink" Hunter and Juanita Cundiff.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Hunter; his children, David Cameron Hunter and Jamie Cline (Jason); and his grandchildren, Kinley Cline and Ty Cline.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sellars Funeral Home (108 Monthaven Park Pl, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Union Cemetery (174 Milltown Church Rd, Columbia, KY 42728).

The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations to Berea College, 101 Chestnut Street, Berea, KY 40403.
