He is survived by: his daughter Laura Pendergrass Greco (Tory Greco); his granddaughters, Faye and Abby; his brother Keith Pendergrass; his sister-in-law Jo-Ellen; his niece Stephanie Smith (Josh); and his nephew Brad Arnold (Amy). He is also survived by two great nieces; two great nephews; and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Steve's memory.
