He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mitchell and Katie Belcher Mitchell; his wife Theresa Mitchell; his sons, Randy and Scott Mitchell; and his brother Roy Mitchell.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Johnson; his sister Irene Young; his stepchildren, George Ferri (Teresa), Edward Ferri (Judy Winfield-Ferri), David Ferri (Patti) and Monica Hedges; his grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Dylan Hedges (Jenny) and Alexandra Terry (Nathan); and his great grandchild Henry Hedges.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church 1729 Stop 30 Road, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
