He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil L. Ray and Martha J. Rimlinger; his sisters, Patricia Ray and Myrna Anderson; and his nephews, Wayne and Joseph Wilhoite.
He is survived by: his wife Judith V. Ray; his daughters, Virginia Darlene Roberts (Chad) and Bonnie Lynn Marshall (William); his grandchildren, Virginia L. Schaak (Brooks), Chandra R. King (Michael), Justin W. Cobb, Kaitlynn M. Marshall and Emilee M. Wilson (Maxwell); and his nephews, Ernest Anderson and Ricky Wilhoite. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
