He was predeceased by: his wife Edyth Castello; his parents, Artha Castello and Alma Castello; and his siblings, Roy Castello, Bettie Castello and Ruby Castello.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sherry Castello and Gail Burnett (Randy); and his grandchildren, Michael Burnett, Megan Terry (Adam) and Miranda Burnett. He is also survived by many other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's name can be made to Edgefield Baptist Church, 700 Russell St, Nashville, TN 37206.
