He was predeceased by: his wife Rosetta Apa; his parents, Frank Apa and Josephine Apa; and his siblings, Tony Apa, Ann Spero, Catherine Apa (Kitty) and Dolly Apa.

He is survived by: his daughter JoAnn Apa Walker; his granddaughter Gina Marie Apa; his brothers, Frank Apa, Louis Apa, Martin Apa and Michael Apa; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Rose Messina and Thomas Joseph Messina.
