He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Lyell Hunter and Annie Ruth Hart Hunter; and his daughter Tippi Elizabeth Hunter. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Hunter; his children, Tony Hunter (Debora), Tracye Hunter Holt (Tim), Todd Hunter and Tara Hunter Gibson; his stepchildren, Dawn Kearns (Mike), Stacy Witt (Mike), Scott Guthrie and Jacquline Rhodes (Jamie); and his brothers, Ray Hunter and Clifford Hunter. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside (104 Sanders Ferry Rd, Hendersonville, TN 37075). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
