He was predeceased by: his parents, Pervy T. Stanley and Lucille Rozier; his son Anthony D. Stanley; and his siblings, Perlie Mae, Mamie, Rayford, Rosabelle (Rose), Pervy T., Lillard, James, Dorris, Ann and David.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Richmond Stanley; his daughters, Lisa C. Serme (Abdramane Serme), Azier Culpepper (Robert "Ken" Culpepper) and Shelly Jones; his grandchildren, Yusuf Serme, Bryant Serme, Abdulrahman "Junior" Serme and Samuel "Sammy" Serme; his great grandchildren, Niya Travis, Jada Stanley and Keviana Kali Stanley; his pet BJ; his grandson Kevin Stanley; and also, Jack Newgent, Bonnie Konz and BJ. He is also survived by his extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews.
