She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Clifford and Mary L. E. Burkhead Garner; her husband Lonnie Odell Whitman; her son Darrel Whitman; and her sisters, Jessie Lee Rowland and Ann Morrison.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Whitman (Janice) of Henderson and Lona Whitman Bolton (Shawn) of Henderson; and her brother Alfred Garner (Jo Ellen) of Finger. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
