He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Newman and Gladys M. Akin Newman; his wife Ruby; and his siblings, Billy Faye Newman and Joy Newman Oliver.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Meixner (Ron) of New Jersey, Georgia Davis of Mercer, TN, Susie Newman, Patricia Coley of Toone, TN. and Debbie Newman of South Bend, IN; and his siblings, Joyce Newman Beshires and Guy Newman (Sherry) of Henderson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Henderson (304 Crook Ave, Henderson, TN 38340). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Pisgah Cemetery (1990 N Pisgah Rd, Henderson, TN 38340).
