He is survived by: his son Daisy Rene William; his wife Linda of Indianapolis; his stepson Jeremiah (Amanda); and his children, Phyllis Statham (Lamarshall) of Hazel Crest, IL, Charles Steven Benson, Tilanta Thompson of Chicago, IL and Darryl Benson of Dolton, IL.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
