He is survived by: his wife Patsy Stewart Steed of Henderson; his children, Dr. James Richard Steed (Alesia) of Bethel Springs, John Thomas Steed (Katherine) of Knoxville, Susan Steed Winn (Edward) of Thompson Station, TN and Jeannie Steed Greathouse (Jeff) of Richmond, KY; and his sister Mary Smith of Jackson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
