He was predeceased by: his parents, William Houston and Fannie Ozelle Hatch Hurst; his wife Evelyn Hurst; his granddaughter Mallerie Graves; and his sister Louise Thomas.

He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Hurst (Miranda) of Henderson, Sheila Cloud (Jerry) of Henderson and Tina Graves (Brad) of Henderson; his grandchildren, Adam Cloud (Hayley), Cody Cloud, Heath Graves (Lauren), Madison Balding (Kyle), Mia Hurst and Colton Hurst; his great grandchildren, Karver Balding, Sadie Cloud and Caroline Cloud; and his sister Linda Rowland.
