He is survived by: his wife Janet Lynn Cupples Stout of Henderson; his children, Johnny Stout (Cindy) of Henderson, Jimmy Calvin Stout (Coty) of Henderson, Melinda Rush of Bethel Springs, Tammie Heathcock (Robert) of Finger and Krystle Janeaux (Monty) of Port Arthur, TX; his siblings, Marion Stout of Henderson and Betty Jo Burris of Lexington; his stepmother Mary Sue Stout; and his half-siblings, Jimmie Ray Stout of Bethel Springs, Frank Stout of Jackson, Ronnie Stout of Henderson, Lettie Fussell of Henderson, Betty Baggett of Bethel Springs and Teresa Ley of Milan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
