He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Kent and Zelphia Hollin Bishop; and his siblings, William Cecil Bishop, Jim Bob Bishop, Hallie Tommy Bishop, Ruby Pearl Weaver, Lois Bannister, Gladys Grisham and Mary Jo Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Marie Messer Bishop of Henderson; his children, George Henry Bishop, Jr. (Peggy) of Morris Chapel, Bobby Dean Bishop (Ganetta) of Adamsville and Diane Pendley of Adamsville; and his stepson George Michael Butler (Sue) of Vermont. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
