He was predeceased by: his parents, Church Pemberton and Wilma Polly Pemberton; his wife Minnie Lee Pemberton; his brother Otis Pemberton; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Lawson, JC Lawson, Donald Ray Lawson, Eldridge Lawson, Bobby Lawson, Ellie Mae Phillips and Frankie June Van Raalte.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carletta Brown (Joey) and Lechia Terry; his brother Perry Pemberton (Sandy) of Helenwood; his sister-in-law Pauline Pemberton; his grandchildren, Jessica Reynolds, Jeffery Harness, Leanna Harness, Tasha Terry and Cody Terry; and his close friends, Johnny "Jay Bird" Green, Bobby Huffman and Gary Reagan. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins.
