He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sherman Watson and Lottie Marcum Watson; his wife Mary Helen Murley Watson; his children, Jimmy Lee Watson and Mary Ann Pennington; his siblings, Hollis, Robert, Glen Watson, Hattie Hatfield, Alene Hutson, Elsie Jeffers and Phyllis Lowe; and his siblings-in-law, Finley Hatfield, Charles Henry Lowe, Joe Hutson, Leonard Kirby, Virgil Jeffers and Bertha Watson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Danny D. Pennington III, Carrie Thompson, Carmen Morris, Shawn Watson and Stacey Helvey; his great grandchildren, D. J., Raelan, Alex, Shayne, Clare, William, Jack, John Parker, Annalee, Adeline, Hudson and Harper; his daughter-in-law Joyce Watson; and his siblings, Denton Jr., James Watson (Nadine) and Bessie Kirby. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
