He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Sexton and Flora Stephens Sexton; his parents-in-law, Virginia Patterson and Emory Patterson; his brothers, Homer Ray Sexton and John Robert Stephens; his brothers-in-law, Jim Yancey and Jerry Sills; his great grandchild Mason Ruger Sexton; his nephew Toby Franklin Foster; and his great-nephews, Taylor Stephens and Jacoby Franklin Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Sexton; his sons, Curley Dewane (Virgie Sexton), Jerry (Patti Sexton), Michael (Rebecca Sexton) and Daniel (Ashley Sexton); and his siblings, Joel (Melissa Sexton), Linda Caudill of Bowling Green, KY, Sharon (John O'Barr), Helen Yancey of Helenwood, Kim (Frank Foster) and Lois (Robert Wright). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many extended family members, special friends.
