He was predeceased by: his wife Magaline "Tiny" Foster Perkins; his parents-in-law, Richard and Hattie Hughett Foster; his sisters, Bonnie Marlow, Juanita Phillips, Ocie Lee Perkins and Etta Jean Duncan; and his close friend Clinton "Dude" Butler.

He is survived by: his children, Anthony Carvel Perkins and Angeline Kay Perkins (Robin Carroll); his grandsons, Colten of Helenwood, Tennessee, Creston of Helenwood, Tennessee and Cirstan Perkins of Helenwood, Tennessee; his siblings, Beulah Phillips, Diane Chambers (Donnie), Linda Stentson of Oneida, Tennessee and David Stenton of Sacramento, California; and his siblings-in-law, Sam Foster (Brenda) of Danville, Kentucky, Katie Foster of Pennington Gap, Virginia and Jean Thorne of Oneida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
